Sean & Rieko | Wedding Reception at The Hacienda

You may remember Sean and Rieko's engagement shoot at Laguna Beach from a couple of weeks back? Well, after an intimate and heartfelt wedding in Hawaii, they returned to their home in Orange County to celebrate their nuptials amongst friends and family at a delicious and beautiful brunch reception at The Hacienda in Santa Ana. Lucky for me, I not only got to photograph this momentous occasion, I also got to celebrate with them (and we all know how much I love me some brunch and mimosas!). Sean is my husband's cousin, and so I know from personal experience that Rieko married in to the warmest, most loving family I have ever known. And after spending time eating sushi and laughing with Rieko, I can tell you, they are incredibly lucky to have her! As long as I have known Sean and Rieko, I have been in awe at their love for each other. They both light-up when you mention the other, and I swear I've never seen them not smile when they are together. It was such an honor to photograph their wedding reception, not only because they are absolutely adorable and perfect for each other, but they are also family.

An added plus: I am also shooting a wedding here in March, so it was really cool to be able to scope it out ahead of time! :)

Sean's mom, Kimber (below), was the amazing woman behind this celebration. She was also the talent who did all of the flowers for my wedding! She never ceases to amaze me, and one day I can only hope to be half the woman she is.
