Modern industrial spring wedding inspiration // A styled shoot
When 2013 arrived, it was a little bittersweet. On one hand, I felt accomplished, having met all my goals for 2012. On the other hand, I was anxious for what was ahead. I knew it was up to me to path the way for a fruitful new year. In doing so, one of my goals was to shoot and plan a styled wedding. I knew this would be the perfect way to keep myself creatively engaged. I needed to challenge myself, thinking of new ways to photograph a wedding, while creating something fresh from scratch.Which brings me to this shoot... When Lauren of Lavender Grey Events and I sat down to plan our shoot, we never expected it to be such a labor of love. All we knew was that we wanted to do something fun and unique that hadn't really been done before. After lots of brainstorming and emails, we landed on our theme, April Showers Bring May Flowers, but with a modern/industrial spin. The bright blue vintage airstream trailer provided by Derek of Happier Camper was the PERFECT prop for this. Of course we knew it would be impossible to make any of this happen without a savvy group of industry vendors to lend us their talents.
Bringing in Sloane of Sloane Harmony Design on paper goods, was what really helped set the tone. Bright neon colors, with a watercolor background was the perfect compliment to our rainy theme. Then, Christina of Sea of Blossoms blew us away with her colorful spring floral designs. ALL of the vendors who were part of this shoot deserve some major high fives for all of their hard work and talents. We were so excited to get this shoot featured on Green Wedding Shoes!
