Intimate Wayfarers Chapel Wedding // Cindy + Julian
Sure, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. But no one ever said there was a rule against getting married in a glass chapel! This wedding at Wayfarers Chapel in Palos Verde between Cindy and Julian was ahh-mazing. And, when you are photographing in a mostly glass structure on a sunny day in California, the light is just perfect. Swoon! Most of the weddings I attend or work at are usually pretty big affairs. The more the merrier and all that. But this wedding was very intimate, with only the closest family and friends of Cindy and Julian invited. This, along with the above mentioned rad glass chapel, really set the tone for a lovely, uncomplicated affair. There wasn't even a wedding reception following the ceremony in Wayfarers Chapel. Cindy and Julian told me they didn't want the day to be focused on organizing and hosting a big party- but instead on their love for each other. And, I would say they succeeded in the most beautiful way.
Cindy's simple, yet elegant strapless gown was just perfect against the backdrop of the glass chapel. The flowing material was light and playful and coordinated well with Julian's gerber daisy boutonniere and white Converse sneakers. My favorite moment was their first look. I don't think Julian's smile could've gotten any bigger when he saw his bride. That was a sweet moment to witness.
Their wedding party showed their true colors with bright, coordinating bowties and bridesmaid dresses with just the right amount of sparkle. The grounds around Wayfarers Chapel were beautiful too, and I couldn't help but think about how much fun this couple is going to have in the years ahead. Their love for each other really shined on their wedding day. I hope you can see that through these photos of their Wayfarers Chapel wedding.
