Jennifer & Elliott's DIY Backyard Wedding
When the super awesome Melissa Brandman asked me to second shoot Jennifer and Elliott's DIY intimate backyard wedding with her, I couldn't have been more excited. Or so I thought. Then she mentioned that the Reflexx, a live 80s cover band playing, would be playing at the wedding. I squealed so loudly my poor cat almost hit the ceiling. When we showed up that day ready to rock and roll (literally and figuratively), I could tell right away that this was going to be no ordinary wedding. There was an overwhelming amount of love and joy in the air that it made me all warm and fuzzy inside. Every detail was thoughtfully made by Jennifer with help from her friends and family, and the love between Jennifer and Elliot reminded me of a young Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing. We're staying with the 80s theme here. ;) Seriously though, these two kids were mad about each other. And their wedding was a perfect reflection of that love and adoration.
As you can see, there was no shortage of adorable children in this wedding.
Trying to be serious but his sister wasn't havin' it.
Jennifer and Elliot were so cute. If one wasn't tearing up the other one was. Needless to say there wasn't a dry eye in the crowd.
I LOVE this photo of Elliot playing his new bride like an air guitar. So rock n' roll.
Jenn, you are GOR-GEOUS. Period.
Such a beautiful note to their guests.
I couldn't help but giggle when I saw these wine bottles personalized with rad photos of Jennifer and Elliott from the 80s.
Such an amazing toasts were given- especially by Jenn's sister who had the entire crowd bawling.
A perfect stolen moment.
Mmmmmm, sweets!!!
The bride's father was loving the 80s music a little too much. Haha. So cute.
Time to party like it's 19....89? Yes sir.
To top off the night Jenn and Reflexx joined together for an awesome rendition of Dont You Want Me. Classic.
And what's a wedding without your bridesmaids singing Like a Virgin at the top of their lungs? Pure awesome sauce.
Congo line? Yes please!
Thanks again to the fab Melissa Brandman for having me along. And Jenn and Elliott you guys ROCK, and so did your wedding.
